Add Text watermark

Adding Text Watermark

To add a text watermark, click button on the Watermark toolbar or open menu Watermark > Add > Text.

 

Replace "www.YourSite.com" with the text you want to be used as a watermark in the text field on the top of the "Properties" window:

 

 

Besides, here you can:

 

  • Add special symbols to the text - for that click ? button on the top of the "Properties" window.

 

  • Add a number of variables that contain metadata to the text - for that click drop-down button on the top of the "Properties" window. Variables of the following types are available in the list:

 

    • File Params - includes variables concerned with the source and produced files' names.

    • Image Params - includes variables concerned with the source and produced files' size and dimensions.

    • Video Params - includes variables concerned with the source and produced files' duration and current frame time.

    • Date and Time - includes variables concerned with the current date and time.

    • File Date and Time - includes variables concerned with the date and time of the source and produced files' creation.

 

The list also includes "Variables' Format" item. Click it to open a dialog where you can set the format of any added variable.

 

 

Properties of a text watermark.

 

After a text watermark is added, its properties become available in the "Properties" window.

 

Source

This section includes properties that specify the source for the text watermark.

 

  • Type - the source type. It can take the following values:

 

    1. Text - if selected, the text will be entered by hand.

    2. Text file - if selected, the text will be taken from a specified text file:

 

      • Path - the path to the source text file.

      • Content - the way in which the text will be taken from the specified text file. This parameter can take the following values:

 

        1. All content - if selected, all content of the text file will be used for representation of a single text watermark.

        2. Split content into lines - if selected, the content will be split into separate strings, each of which will be used for representation of a separate text watermark. In this case the following parameter becomes available:

 

  • Split Type - the way the text file's content will be split into strings. This parameter can take the following values:

 

  1. By files - if selected, every next string of the text file will be put onto every next source file. For example, if the text file includes two strings

 

First watermark

Second watermark

 

and two source files are being processed, then "First watermark" will be put onto the first file and "Second watermark" will be put onto the second one.

  1. By Time - if selected, all strings of the text file will be displayed one after another. In this case the following parameter becomes available:

 

  • Pause Time - the time the appearance of every next string will be delayed for.

 

    1. SRT file - the text (and the time during which it will be displayed) will be taken from a specified SRT file. You can use either existing or made by your own SRT files to create subtitles. If selected, the following parameter becomes available:

 

      • Path - the path to the source SRT file.

 

Main

This section includes the main properties of the text watermark.

 

  • Angle - the rotation angle. This parameter can take values from 0 to 360. Click "..." button on the right of the "Angle" caption to set the rotation angle with the help of a special control.

  • Transparency - the value of transparency. This parameter can take values from 0 (completely opaque) to 100 (completely transparent).

  • Resize - the resize value. By default it is equal to 100%, which means the watermark has the original size.

 

Font

This section includes properties relating to the font of the text watermark.

 

  • Name - the font name.

  • Size - the font size.

  • Bold - indicates whether the font is bold.

  • Italic - indicates whether the font is italic.

  • Underline - indicates whether the font is underlined.

  • Strikeout - indicates whether the font is strikeout.

  • BG Color - the background color.

  • Transparent - indicates whether the background is transparent.

  • Align - the alignment.

 

To change the charset, open menu Watermark > Font. In the opened "Font" dialog window select the required charset from the corresponding drop-down list.

 

Fill

This section includes properties relating to the fill of the text watermark.

 

  • Fill Type - the fill type. This parameter can take the following values:

 

    1. Color - if selected, the text will be filled with a solid color. In this case the following parameter becomes available:

 

      • Color - the color the text will be filled with. Click "..." button on the right of the "Color" caption to select the required color.

 

    1. Gradient - if selected, the text will be filled with a gradient. In this case the following parameter becomes available:

 

      • Gradient - the gradient the text will be filled with. Click "..." button on the right of the "Gradient" caption to select one of the preset gradients or create a custom one.

 

    1. Pattern - if selected, the text will be filled with a pattern. In this case the following parameter becomes available:

 

      • Pattern - the pattern the text will be filled with. Click "..." button on the right of the "Pattern" caption to select one of the preset patterns or add your own one.

 

Advanced

Here the advanced properties of the text watermark are available.

 

  • Timeline Mode - defines the logic of watermark's display in accordance with the specified timeline. This parameter can take one of the following values:

 

    1. Single - if selected, the watermark will be displayed only once in accordance with the specified timeline.

    2. Multiply - if selected, the watermark will be displayed multiple times. First it will be displayed in accordance with the specified timeline. After that the watermark will disappear (for the time defined by the "Timeline Pause" parameter) and appear (for the time equal to the duration of the specified timeline) time and again. In this case the following parameter becomes available:

 

      • Timeline Pause - the time between the watermark's disappearance and next appearance.

 

    1. Random - if selected, the watermark will be displayed the specified number of times. It will randomly appear for the time equal to the duration of the specified timeline. In this case the following parameter becomes available:

 

      • Number of Displays - the number of times the watermark will be displayed.

 

Effects

This section includes properties that are responsible for applying effects to the text watermark.

 

  • Stroke - indicates whether the Stroke effect is applied. To edit the parameters of the effect, click "..." button on the right of the "Stroke" caption.

  • Drop Shadow - indicates whether the Drop Shadow effect is applied. To edit the parameters of the effect, click "..." button on the right of the "Drop Shadow" caption.

  • Bevel and Emboss - indicates whether the Bevel and Emboss effect is applied. To edit the parameters of the effect, click "..." button on the right of the "Bevel and Emboss" caption.

  • 3D - indicates whether the 3D effect is applied. To edit the parameters of the effect, click "..." button on the right of the "3D" caption.

  • Rotate - indicates whether the Rotate effect is applied. To edit the parameters of the effect, click "..." button on the right of the "Rotate" caption.

  • Curvature - indicates whether the Curvature effect is applied. To edit the parameters of the effect, click "..." button on the right of the "Curvature" caption.

  • Tile - indicates whether the Tile effect is applied. To edit the parameters of the effect, click "..." button on the right of the "Tile" caption.

 

Most of the above properties can also be modified with the help of the Formatting toolbar or menu Watermark.
